It’s been a wonderful year for Obsolete Cinema, so much so that we know only one way to close it out: kicking up our heels and belting out a hearty song or three. Join us for a whopper of a musical double feature!

First up, it’s the roller disco phantasmagoria XANADU (1980), with Olivia Newton-John stars alongside Michael Beck (THE WARRIORS) and the depressingly spry Hollywood legend Gene Kelly. See the trio traipse through Venice Beach, shop for deep discounts, and open up a magical nightclub to put on a big show. It's the movie that spawned a thousand neon tights!

Then ease on down the road with Sidney Lumet’s THE WIZ (1978), a brave new take on L. Frank Baum’s Oz tale featuring Diana Ross, Richard Pryor, Nipsey Russell, and Michael Jackson!

The party starts at Freddy's Bar at a new time -- 4pm -- with trivia, prizes, and all the usual happy hour antics till 6.
