Had enough Star Wars hype? This Life Day season, restore freedom to your galaxy with enough spoofs, goofs, and knock-offs to sink an Imperial fleet.
First up is the infamous, George Lucas-disapproved STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL (1978). This WTF variety show is bonkers at worst and transcendent at best, proven by its left-field guest appearances: Bea Arthur, Art Carney, Jefferson Starship, and Harvey Korman (not to mention the expected Star Wars players). And introducing animated Boba Fett!
We follow with two timeless spoofs, the industrial-powered HARDWARE WARS (1978), featuring a flying waffle maker and a googly-eyed ‘Wookie Monster,’ and Mel Brooks’ infinitely quotable SPACEBALLS (1987). Bill Pullman is Lone Starr, John Candy is Barf, Rick Moranis is Dark Helmet, and Yogurt’s schwartz is bigger than anyone’s!
Join the Obsolete Rebel Alliance at Freddy’s, where the Farce is strong and the drinks are stronger!
